Thanks for all the well-wishes. The weather gods must have been paying attention because we had almost perfect racing conditions this morning at Long Branch. I don’t want to say too much now (will have full race report tomorrow) but just to let you all know that I had a fantastic run this morning. Unofficially, I finished my half-marathon in 1:27:33! Not only is that a new PR, but it is also good for #7 in my age-group, and #26 overall. I had to ask the master of ceremonies if he had an award for seventh. Unfortunately, no dice on that request, but he did give me an honorable mention over the P.A. as I crossed the finish line.Yay! That was so very cool.
Can’t wait to share more stories from this, my best run ever part II (Thanks Jamie for the suggestion!). This body, however, has been to hell and back and is totally exhausted, so you’ll have to tune in tomorrow for the rest of the fun. In the meantime, hope you all had a chance to run outside and enjoy the beautiful weekend weather.

Awesome time! Here's a virtual high-five on the PR (does anyone over the age of 10 do that anymore)? :-)
